Last Saturday the Clark County Wetlands Park hosted an even called the "Bio Blitz". Basically everyone downloaded an app called Inaturalist on their phone and recorded as many wildlife sightings as they could. The app combined with phones GPS capabilities and provided a fairly accurate survey moel of species at the park. It was lucky for us that we travel with our own resident biologist, because our sightings were always pretty accurate, and we might have seen more than most people. Though not all, we still ranked fifth, in the number of species sighted (BLAST)! The weather could not have been more beautiful though, and it was a fantastic activity for the family. I hope they continue it next year.
